The kids have absolutely loved to see all the different colors they could use in their projects. They were thrilled to have yarn that has multiple colors rather than just one color. The multiple colored ones were the yarn to run out first, since they were so popular. \r\nWith all the donations, the students were able to work on a new project, making dreamcatchers and learning how to weave. Weaving has been a wonderful project for students that don't like to draw. The students get a different way to create art, and tons thrive in weaving rather than traditional drawing. Giving them a choice to pick their different colors and design their weavings/dreamcatchers helps them keep their interest in yarn projects. Many boys in my classes who have not been participating as much during the year with projects that require drawing and coloring, have thrived with weaving. Many have been some of the first to finish the project and show great enthusiasm.\r\nWe will absolutely continue to use this yarn until it runs out in the future. We have already used some yarn for teaching kindergarteners how to weave a basic rainbow. And so far they love it!
