Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Special Education Resource Teacher, I work with students who learn in different ways and need extra support to build their reading, math, and classroom skills. My students are hardworking, curious, and excited when they are given the right tools to help them succeed.

These hands-on materials will give my students more ways to practice and understand what they are learning.

Sensory squeeze tools can help students stay calm and focused, while letter and phonics materials will help them practice letter recognition, sounds, and early reading skills. Counting manipulatives and math materials will allow students to physically see and work with numbers, making math concepts easier to understand.

My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels successful and confident. For my students, learning a new letter, reading a new word, counting independently, or solving a math problem can be a big accomplishment. With your support, I can give them materials that make learning more engaging, meaningful, and fun. Thank you for helping my students learn in the way that works best for them!
