My Project

The materials I am requesting will have an immediate and meaningful impact in my first-grade classroom. Our students are curious, creative, energetic learners who thrive when they have opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences, collaboration, movement, and meaningful reading. We love their enthusiasm, their willingness to try new things, and the unique ideas they bring into our classroom every day.

These resources will help us create a more engaging, organized, and student-centered learning environment.

The rolling laptop cart will give students flexible access to technology while allowing us to move learning around the classroom. The dry-erase sleeves, markers, handwriting paper, binder clips, and letter cutouts will provide reusable tools for practicing writing, building vocabulary, displaying student work, and reinforcing academic skills.

Our collection of books, including The Princess in Black, Fly Guy, and A Little SPOT of Holidays, will give students more opportunities to develop reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and a genuine love of books. Having high-interest books readily available helps students see reading as something enjoyable and meaningful.

The Play-Doh, art trays, recordable buzzers, and other interactive materials will support hands-on learning, creativity, fine-motor development, communication, teamwork, and classroom games that allow students to practice skills in engaging ways. The laminating pouches and dry-erase materials will also allow us to create durable, reusable activities that students can use again and again.

Even everyday classroom necessities, such as disinfecting wipes and a carpet sweeper, help us maintain a clean, welcoming learning space where students can focus on learning. Together, these resources will help us meet students where they are, make learning more interactive, and give every child additional opportunities to participate, practice, create, read, and succeed.
