My Project

Building Strong Readers, One Notebook at a Time! will provide composition notebooks for our 6th–8th grade ELA students to create their own Interactive ELA Notebooks.

These notebooks will become an essential learning tool that students use throughout the school year to record reading strategies, build academic vocabulary, analyze complex texts, respond to literature, practice writing, and reflect on their growth.

Students will also use their notebooks to organize mini anchor charts, graphic organizers, textual evidence, and other literacy resources they can reference during daily instruction. Having one organized place for their learning will help students make connections between skills, revisit previous lessons, and become more independent learners. Most importantly, these notebooks will give students a tangible record of how much they have grown as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. One notebook, countless opportunities to read, think, write, and grow!
