My students will be able to have a choice of independent readers during our D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) time. Getting my students to enjoy reading is my goal. During this time students are able to read books that they enjoy not what they have to read. Their minds are able to explore different things and places. When my students read books they enjoy their vocabulary enhances. Their critical thinking process begins to grow. Once the vocabulary and critical thinking skills enhance students become better writers. Being able to express themselves in writing is our next goal as they will soon become 4th graders.

About my class
