My Project

My students enjoy the opportunity to demonstrate what they are learning in English through creative expression. Oftentimes, these assignments are pencil (or colored pencil or Sharpie) to paper.

The opportunity to receive a notebook and a folder for my students to safely store their work in is looked upon with gratitude, as the socioeconomic dynamic of my students prevents many of them from providing their own supplies.

Creative expression is critical to the success of my students because they learn better when working on assignments that involve art, color, and collaboration. These basic supplies also support their sense of responsibility for their work and the pride that they take in their finished products.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
