Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our academy, we believe that every day matters. Our students thrive when they are present, engaged, and connected to school.

This project will provide a fun, schoolwide attendance incentive that celebrates positive attendance habits while building classroom community and excitement.

Using a “Present Potato” for each classroom, students will earn a new piece of their potato character each day the entire class has perfect attendance. As the potato grows, so does teamwork, responsibility, and school pride. Once completed, the class earns a celebration before beginning a new challenge.

This Tier 1 PBIS initiative focuses on encouraging attendance through positive reinforcement rather than punishment.
