Like most 10 and 11 year olds some of their attention spans and ability to focus can be very short or limited. To help curb this, I try and implement as many hands on and real life experiences as possible. I also try to give them multiple opportunities to move around the room to different centers and activities while in my classroom. My classroom has an ethnic population, Caucasian, African American, Hispanic, and Asian. Each of my students is very passionate about their work at school and really want to please me and their other teachers through hard work and having a committed attitude while in the classroom. My school is an IBPYP certified school that follows all regulations and requirements set by the IBO organization.
