My Project

My students are preparing for the Math 3 End-of-Course (EOC) assessment, which requires strong understanding of functions, graphs, modeling, and problem-solving. This project will provide electronic devices so students can use Desmos and other digital learning tools to explore mathematics in an interactive way.

With this iPad, students will be able to visualize equations, analyze graphs, test mathematical ideas, and receive immediate feedback.

Instead of only solving problems on paper, students will actively explore how mathematics works and develop deeper conceptual understanding.

Many students at our Title I school have limited access to personal technology outside of school. Providing classroom iPads will ensure that every student has an equal opportunity to participate in meaningful technology-based learning experiences.

My students are hardworking learners who are preparing for an important milestone in their high school mathematics journey. They bring different strengths and learning needs into the classroom, and my goal is to provide a learning environment where every student feels supported and capable of success.

Math 3 requires students to connect equations, tables, graphs, and real-world applications. Interactive technology helps students make these connections and build confidence in their mathematical abilities.

How Students Will Use These iPads

Students will use the iPads and Apple Pencils for:

* Desmos graphing activities aligned with Math 3 standards

* Exploring polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and rational functions

* Investigating transformations and patterns

* Annotating graphs and explaining mathematical reasoning

* Completing EOC review activities

* Participating in small-group intervention and enrichment

* Accessing digital assignments through Canvas and other learning platforms

The Apple Pencil will allow students to write solutions, annotate graphs, and communicate their mathematical thinking clearly.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
