My Project

Welcome to our vibrant 2nd-grade classroom! My scholars are a diverse, enthusiastic group of 7- and 8-year-olds who love to learn, explore, and share their ideas.

Research has shown that at this age, energy is high, and curiosity is even higher.

Our scholars take charge of their own learning through interactive reading and math software.

Independent digital learning is a massive part of our daily success, but it requires concentration. Currently, our classroom is missing a critical tool: reliable, kid-friendly headphones.

When multiple students are working on phonic lessons, listening to audiobooks, or practicing math facts at the same time, the overlapping audio creates a wall of sound. This distraction makes it incredibly difficult for my young learners to focus, and it pulls my attention away from small group instruction.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
