Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm a 4th grade Math teacher and absolutely love serving my students at HVES. Although I love serving our HVES families, our facilities are old and lack adequate storage. Presently, my classroom that has no storage cabinets or closets, so I'm in need of storage cubbies for my Math students as they will be rotating through the classroom twice a day and have no desk storage.

As you may know, effective math instruction requires more than just books.

It requires manipulatives, journals, blocks, etc. My goal is to have each student able to store all their math materials in their own bin. Additionally, I would also like that each of my students be able to have their own set of headphones so they can quietly practice our online instructional practice while I meet students in small group.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
