Students were very excited to receive their colorful new folders. We use our folders to organize anchor charts and worksheets that support students in the writing and speaking domains of English Language Proficiency.\r\n\r\nOur scholars are resilient and adaptable. Our small group model has us pushing into classrooms to set up spaces where ML students can learn and practice the rules of grammar. Our colorful folders support us in practicing concepts like subject-verb agreement and how to replace nouns with the appropriate pronouns. We use plastic sheet holders inside of our folders to house small scale anchor charts that would be displayed in much larger formats on classroom walls. Students and staff have been clamoring to use our new safety flags and wands during dismissal. The new safety equipment has added structure to our car rider dismissal protocols. We use our bright orange flags to create destinations for students to wait at or to meet their parents at designated stopping points.\r\n\r\nDue to the bustling nature of dismissal, the bright orange flags have been used to help wave cars through the line as families wait for their students. Safety minded staff members have also been using our equipment to stop cars for pedestrians that have to traverse the car rider line during afternoon dismissal. Resources such as colorful hundred charts and interactive activities give students meaningful opportunities to practice important skills while remaining engaged in their learning.\r\n\r\nIn literacy, the materials have supported teachers with hands-on phonics activities, word sorts, graphic organizers, and other resources that reinforce foundational reading skills. The wagon that we received, served as a perfect mobile command center. We expanded our impact from the cafeteria to the entirety of our community campus. Crew members were able to tidy up during our annual Field Day event. The extra buckets and grabbers allowed for multiple grade levels to practice stewardship while having a ball with their classmates. During the last week of school, many new crew members cleaned up our playground and bus stop areas. We received three different types of grabbers that are appropriate for students at different developmental levels. Our new arsenal of grabbers has allowed our crew to expand across grade levels.\r\n\r\nDonated items have already expanded our reach to include playground areas and school events. During our second annual Culture Fest, the Eagle Impact Crew helped to keep our venue tidy and safe by removing festival detritus from crowded walkways.
