My Project

Every day, my classroom welcomes preschool children who learn best through hands-on experiences, visual supports, and predictable routines.

An organized classroom is not simply nice to have—it is an essential teaching tool.

Many of my students are learning foundational skills that other children often take for granted. They are working on communicating their wants and needs, taking turns, following routines, developing fine motor skills, and learning how to play appropriately with toys and interact with books.

Our classroom needs child-sized bookshelves and toy storage so students can independently access learning materials, make choices, and clean up successfully. When materials are clearly displayed and organized, children are more likely to engage in meaningful play, build language, and develop independence.

Along with the furniture, I hope to add durable board books and sensory materials that support communication, social-emotional development, and early literacy. Many of my students seek sensory input throughout the day, and providing appropriate sensory materials helps them stay calm, focused, and ready to learn.

These materials will be used every day during:

Small-group instruction

Literacy centers

Social skills practice

Sensory breaks

Circle Time
