Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every child learns differently, and creating a classroom that meets a variety of learning needs is important. My goal is to provide flexible seating options that help my first-grade scholars stay comfortable, focused, and engaged throughout the school day.

The stools will give scholars an alternative to traditional classroom chairs, allowing them to sit comfortably while working independently, in small groups, or during collaborative activities.

The lap desks will provide students with the flexibility to work in different areas of the classroom, encouraging movement and creating comfortable learning spaces. The seat cushions will make floor lessons, reading time, and partner work more comfortable, helping scholars remain focused and engaged for longer periods.

By offering a variety of seating choices, my scholars will be able to select the learning space that best supports their individual needs. Flexible seating promotes independence, increases engagement, and creates a welcoming classroom where every child feels comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. These resources will help my students stay focused while fostering a positive and productive learning environment every day.
