My Project

First grade is a year filled with incredible growth, and one of our biggest goals is helping every student become a confident, lifelong reader. This project will provide each of my students with a book bag to safely transport books between school and home, along with classroom headphones and a headphone adapter to support independent and partner literacy activities.

Our headphones will allow students to fully engage in listen-to-reading centers, digital literacy programs, and audio stories without distractions.

The headphone adapter will encourage partner reading and collaborative listening, giving students opportunities to discuss stories and practice comprehension together.

The take-home book bags will help protect books and encourage students to build a daily reading routine with their families. For many of my students, these bags will become a special reminder that reading doesn’t stop when the school day ends.

These simple resources will make a lasting impact by helping my students build confidence, independence, and a genuine love of reading. Thank you for supporting our classroom and investing in the future of these young learners.
