Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting items that will help my students to remain motivated and engaged, as well as healthy across all seasons. The first group of items I have include tissues, lysol sprays, Lysol wipes and more to keep our learning environment clean and sanitary. As we transition from summer to fall to winter and then spring, we are constantly sharing materials, taking turns, and also attending to our mouth and articulators as we address speech sound and language based tasks.

I am also requesting incentive charts as well as supplies such as toys and candies that would go in a treasure box, and motivate students across all grade levels.

This has been exciting from year-to-year, as my students look forward to earning stickers on their personal board, collecting specific quantities, and then earning prizes when they have worked hard, met a new goal, demonstrated kind and responsible behavior, or overcome a challenge.

My students are some of the kindest, brightest, friendliest, and most hard-working children I have had the joy of servicing, and these traits deserve to be recognized and celebrated. I am eager to help them communicate effectively and share their thoughts and ideas clearly, while doing so in a motivating environment that sets them up for success! Thank you for all of your support!
