Mobile Hydration Station: Refill, Refresh, Refocus

Help me give my students a mobile "Hydration Station" to hydrate throughout the day.

My Project

Proper hydration is important for overall health. School-aged kids should be drinking at least 6-8 glasses of water each day. In order to achieve this healthy-living goal, students must be allowed and encouraged to hydrate throughout the school day.

It is critical to teach kids at an early age the benefits of staying hydrated.

Drinking water helps students stay alert and focused and can improve cognitive functioning. Funds for this project will be used to provide two mobile hydration stations. I will be teaching two groups of fourth grade students. Each group will have a rolling cart holding storage baskets to organize individual student water bottles. The "Hydration Station" will be available to students as needed throughout the school day. The mobile carts will provide a way to easily store, organize and transport the student water bottles as students transition between classrooms.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
