My Project

My students are a diverse, energetic, and resilient group of learners who come to school every day eager to discover and grow. They thrive in an environment where they feel safe, supported, and cared for. Our classroom is more than just a place for academics; it is a community. However, many of my students face daily challenges outside of school, and ensuring their basic physical needs are met is the first step in helping them focus on their education.

Our Project Need

It is incredibly difficult for a child to focus on reading, math, or science when they are distracted by an empty stomach, a runny nose, or discomfort from a lack of hygiene items. This project aims to stock our classroom "Comfort Closet" with daily essentials that keep students healthy, focused, and confident.

We are requesting healthy snacks (like granola bars and fruit snacks) to provide a quick energy boost for students who miss breakfast or need extra fuel during the day. We also need tissues, and disinfectant wipes,to keep our classroom clean and minimize sick days. Finally, providing personal hygiene items (like lotion, lip balm, and deodorant) allows students to discreetly take care of themselves, preserving their dignity and boosting their self-esteem.
