My Project

Having a classroom library filled with engaging, high-quality books helps first grade students develop a lifelong love of reading. Many of our current books are well-loved after years of daily use and are becoming worn, outdated, or missing pages. Adding new books will provide students with exciting, age-appropriate stories and nonfiction texts that match their reading levels and interests. When children have access to a wide variety of books, they are more motivated to practice reading, strengthen their comprehension skills, and build confidence as young readers.

New book bins are just as important as the books themselves because they help keep our classroom library organized and accessible.

Clearly labeled, durable bins allow students to independently find and return books, encouraging responsibility and making reading time more efficient. An organized library also protects our books from damage, helping them last for many years. With new books and sturdy storage bins, our classroom will become an inviting reading space where every child can easily discover stories that inspire curiosity, imagination, and a love of learning.
