Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a second year teacher at a Title I school. This year I will be teaching third grade and I know that my students would love a little additional support with their reading.

These classroom supplies and resources will help my students develop and strengthen their reading/phonics skills to build strong readers.

These resources will also lead to readers with stronger reading comprehension skills. Phonemic awareness white boards as well as Magnetic Diagraph word building tiles will help students make connections between phonics sounds and syllables to writing words and creating new words. Manipulatives will help students to learn hands-on and making learning for fun and engaging! Composition books will be used for reading journals as well as math journals. Fidget bands are very useful for students who need to wiggle to help them focus but don’t distract their classmates.

I would love for my classroom to be not only a safe place for my students but welcoming and inviting so they want to be here to learn and grow!
