Rainy Days, Ready to Play!

Help me give my students the opportunity to unplug and connect through classic board games. These games will provide meaningful learning experiences during rainy day recess.

My Project

I teach an amazing group of fourth graders who are always eager to learn, laugh, and work together. Like many children today, many of my students have limited experience with classic board games. I want to introduce them to these timeless games while helping them develop communication, teamwork, critical thinking, patience, and sportsmanship.

These board games will be used during rainy day recess, indoor reward time, and classroom community-building activities.

Games like Connect 4, Guess Who?, Trouble, Sorry!, Hedbanz, and Tapple encourage students to think strategically, solve problems, and interact face-to-face instead of relying on screens. The storage pouches will keep each game organized so they can be enjoyed for many years.

By supporting this project, you’ll help create a classroom where students build friendships, practice important life skills, and discover that some of the best learning happens while having fun together.

This project is a little different from typical classroom requests, and that’s exactly why I think donors will love it. It shows you’re intentionally creating opportunities for students to connect with one another, develop social skills, and make lasting memories—not just fill time on rainy days.
