Preparing the Nest for New Beginnings

Help me give my students engaging counseling materials and organized learning resources that make every small group, classroom lesson, and new student transition meaningful and successful.

My Project

My students are resilient, kind, and eager to learn. This year, K. P. Elementary is welcoming more than 60 new students after the closure of a neighboring elementary school. While exciting, this transition can also bring uncertainty as students adjust to a new school, new classmates, and new routines.

As the school counselor, I provide classroom lessons, small groups, individual counseling, and transition support.

These organizational and instructional supplies will help me create engaging, reusable lessons that teach friendship, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and resilience. The laminators and laminating sheets will allow me to make durable counseling materials, while storage caddies, folders, and a rolling cart will keep resources organized and accessible throughout the building. Name tags and colored pencils will encourage connection, creativity, and participation.

These supplies will help ensure every Eagle, both returning and new, feels welcomed, supported, and ready to soar.
