My Project

My students are resilient, hardworking, and full of potential. As students in Chemistry, Physical Science, and Pre-Engineering, they are learning to think critically, solve problems, and develop the skills needed for future STEM careers. Many of my students respond positively to encouragement and recognition, and they thrive when their efforts are noticed and celebrated. I want my classroom to be a place where every student feels valued, motivated, and confident enough to take on new challenges.

My goal is to create a positive classroom culture that rewards participation, perseverance, teamwork, and academic growth.

The incentive items in this project will be used as part of a classroom ticket system where students earn tickets for contributing to discussions, helping classmates, demonstrating good citizenship, staying engaged during labs, and working through difficult concepts. Students will exchange their tickets for small rewards like popcotn, candy, stickers, classroom privileges, school supplies, and STEM-related prizes. These incentives will help increase engagement, improve classroom behavior, and encourage students to take ownership of their learning.

What makes my students special is their willingness to learn and grow when given the opportunity and support they deserve. Many students enter science courses unsure of their abilities, but positive reinforcement helps build confidence and encourages them to participate more actively. These resources will allow me to recognize student success throughout the year and create an environment where effort is celebrated, persistence is rewarded, and students are inspired to become future scientists, engineers, innovators, and leaders.
