Graphic Novels to the Rescue!

Help me give my students graphic novels to keep them excited about reading, especially my reluctant readers.

My Project

My students absolutely love graphic novels! They love the lively illustrations, the fast-moving action, and the great storylines that graphic novels provide.

Some of my most reluctant readers find graphic novels less intimidating, more engaging, and more fun than traditional books.

Do I want my students to move on and enjoy a variety of formats and genres in books? Absolutely! But for some reluctant readers, graphic novels simply get them reading. Graphic novels draw children into an exciting world of reading and a love of books. I want to have as many great choices of graphic novels as I can keep on my library shelves in their new bins.

This project will provide a variety of graphic novels like The Babysitters' Club and Percy Jackson. These books will appeal to different ages and interests and will get reluctant readers reading!
