My Project

I love that my students are hands‑on learners who take pride in meaningful work, especially when they can see the results of their effort over time. They are curious, determined, and incredibly capable when given opportunities to learn through movement, collaboration, and real‑world tasks. The courtyard project has allowed them to shine in ways traditional classroom activities often do not.

Each resource will help them continue building academic, social, and vocational skills.

The gardening tool set will give my students the chance to practice fine‑motor skills, follow multi‑step directions, and take ownership of planting and maintaining the space.

Landscape staples will help them secure weed barriers and edging, reinforcing problem‑solving and spatial reasoning as they plan and stabilize materials.

Gardening gloves will allow students with sensory sensitivities to participate comfortably and safely, ensuring that everyone can engage fully in outdoor tasks.

The garden hoe will support lessons on soil preparation, plant care, and tool safety, giving students the opportunity to build strength, coordination, and responsibility.

Finally, the dump cart will help students transport soil, mulch, and debris, encouraging teamwork, communication, and real‑world vocational skills.

Together, these resources will empower my students to continue transforming the courtyard while developing confidence, independence, and pride in their work.
