Help me give my students an opportunity for hands on learning, where they can see, touch, and explore what they are studying. The alternative seating will allow my students with disabilities and attention deficit to focus on learning.

My Project

My 4th grade math and science classroom serves a diverse group of learners, including general education students, inclusion students with IEPs, and students performing up to two grade levels below standard. Many of my students come from high-poverty households and have limited access to hands-on learning materials outside of school. The alternative seating will allow my students to wiggle a bit but not compromise learning.

This project will help bring engaging material into our classroom.

Instead of just reading about magnets and rocks, students will interact with them.

These experiences will help bridge learning gaps while making lesson more engaging and accessible.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
