This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach at a Title I high school in a rural, underserved community where many of our students face financial challenges. As I prepare for the upcoming school year, I am working to ensure that every student has access to the basic classroom supplies they need to be successful.

Items such as notebooks, headphones for our audio assignments and assessments and other everyday materials may seem small, but they make a tremendous difference in helping students stay organized, engaged, and ready to learn.

For many of our families, providing these supplies can be difficult, and having them available in the classroom removes barriers to learning.

Your support will help create a positive learning environment where students can focus on their education rather than worrying about whether they have the materials they need. Every donation, no matter the size, directly impacts the success of my students.
