This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students thrive when learning is interactive, visual, and hands-on, yet our classroom currently lacks enough durable materials to fully support daily engagement across subjects. Many of my learners are still developing foundational academic skills and benefit greatly from resources that allow them to practice repeatedly, explore concepts in multiple ways, and stay actively involved in the learning process.

Having a strong supply of classroom pencils and a heavy-duty electric pencil sharpener will ensure students are always ready to write, revise, and complete meaningful work without interruption.

Writing remains a core skill across all subject areas, and consistent access to reliable tools helps build confidence and independence.

In addition, hands-on materials such as glue guns and glue sticks will allow students to fully participate in creative STEM and art-based projects, where they can design, build, and express their understanding in meaningful ways. Dry erase markers will further support active learning by giving students frequent opportunities to practice skills, respond to questions, and engage in quick formative assessments without fear of making mistakes.

To protect and celebrate student work, laminating sheets will help preserve important projects, anchor charts, and learning tools so they can be reused throughout the year, reinforcing concepts over time. Sensory fidget tools will also support students who need help maintaining focus and self-regulation, especially during independent or extended learning tasks.

Additionally, conversation cubes will encourage students to build communication and social-emotional skills through structured discussion, helping them become more confident in expressing their thoughts and listening to others. Finally, multiplication games and flashcards will strengthen math fluency in an engaging and motivating way, allowing students to build confidence through repetition and play-based learning.

Together, these resources will create a more supportive, engaging, and well-rounded classroom environment where students are excited to learn and grow academically and socially.
