Students will..

- Have jobs created from the cleaning tools/supplies to give them a sense of purpose and leadership.

- Read an alternative novel to our typical second novel study to prepare them for 6th grade.

- Use highlighters to find text evidence to support their own thoughts/ideas.

- Use color coding strategies to complete ELA tasks

- Have access to headphones/supplies for those who cannot afford their own

- Easily keep track of homework assignments in designated bins/hold them self accountable for retrieving assignments they may have missed.

- Express themselves using artwork as a means to explain versus the written word

- Experience and embody a "surprise" quote as a weekly mantra about gratitude, mindfulness and/or loving oneself.
