My Project

Our middle school is committed to providing every student with access to the technology needed to succeed in today’s classrooms and tomorrow’s workforce. Unfortunately, our district continues to face significant budget challenges, and due to enrollment changes, our school must surrender 50 existing Chromebooks. To maintain equitable access to technology and continue supporting student achievement, we are seeking funding for 50 Lenovo 100e Gen 4 Chromebooks.

These devices will play a critical role in sustaining the academic growth and proficiency gains our students have achieved in recent years.

Chromebooks are used daily for research, collaboration, online assessments, personalized learning, and project-based instruction across all subject areas.

The impact extends beyond traditional classroom learning. Our STEM and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs depend on reliable technology to provide students with meaningful, hands-on experiences. Students use Chromebooks to learn computer science concepts, coding, cybersecurity fundamentals, engineering design processes, digital communication, data analysis, and problem-solving skills. These experiences help students develop the critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and technology skills that are essential in today’s rapidly evolving economy.

The Chromebooks will also support career exploration and workforce readiness by giving students access to industry-relevant digital tools and learning experiences. Through technology-rich instruction, students begin building foundational skills for future careers in information technology, engineering, business, healthcare, and other high-demand fields.

Without replacement devices, student access to these valuable learning opportunities will be significantly reduced. By funding this project, donors will help ensure that our students continue to have the tools necessary to learn, create, innovate, and achieve at high levels.

Every Chromebook represents an investment in student success, helping Walkertown Middle School continue its upward trajectory while preparing students for future academic and career opportunities. Thank you for supporting our learners and their future.
