My Project

Everyone has the right to communicate, whether it is through their voice, sign language, gestures, or an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device. I have the privilege of teaching some of our most vulnerable students—children with multiple disabilities who have limited verbal skills or are nonverbal. Many of these students face significant challenges expressing their wants, needs, thoughts, and feelings.

Access to effective communication tools can make a life-changing difference in their ability to learn, build relationships, and participate fully in their school community.

This project will provide resources that support communication and give students a voice. These tools will help students interact more effectively with their teachers, classmates, and families while increasing their independence and confidence.
