My Project

Recess equipment is crucial for teachers because it maximizes physical activity, reduces playground conflict, and improves classroom behavior by providing structured, engaging, and safe play opportunities. Access to equipment—like balls, hoops, and jump ropes—promotes social-emotional development and, when properly used, directly boosts student focus and cognitive performance upon returning to class. Equipment encourages a more active recess, with simple additions like balls or jump ropes increasing student movement by up to 15% which in turn reduces "boredom" and conflicts that arise when children are left without options, leading to better behavior inside the classroom.
