My Project

I love how my students are naturally curious and eager to make connections between what they read and the world around them. They enjoy stories with action, strong characters, and meaningful choices, and they are at their best when they can discuss, question, and share their perspectives with one another.

A class set of Prodigy by Marie Lu will give every student equal access to this engaging novel, allowing us to read and analyze it together as a community.

With their own copies, students can annotate key passages, track character development, and build deeper comprehension skills. This shared experience will strengthen discussions, support collaboration, and help students develop critical thinking as they explore themes like leadership, loyalty, and sacrifice. Having consistent access to the text also supports struggling readers by giving them the time and tools they need to stay engaged and successful.
