My Project

Our students are a resilient, vibrant, and incredibly creative group. Living in a rural, economically challenged area, many of our students face barriers that their peers in wealthier districts do not. However, when they pick up a paintbrush, a script, or an instrument, those barriers disappear. They are not "at-risk" youth; they are vocalists, actors, and visual artists. They deserve to see their hard work treated with the same professional respect as a gallery in a big city.

Every year, our Visual Arts, Music, and Theater departments join forces for Fine Arts Night.

It’s a community-wide celebration where the hallway becomes an art gallery, the stage comes alive with monologues, and the air is filled with song.

Currently, we (the teachers) have been self-funding this event. We want to move away from "making do" and move toward a sustainable, professional setup that we can use for years to come.

Sturdy Folding Tables: To create a dedicated "Gallery Walk" for 3D sculptures and a professional buffet area for our community guests.

Professional Tablecloths & Table Skirts: To transform our everyday school environment into a sophisticated event space. Black linens allow the vibrant colors of the student artwork to truly "pop."

When a student sees their clay sculpture displayed on a draped table rather than a scarred classroom desk, it validates their identity as an artist. It tells them their work has value.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
