My Project

Hello, I’m Mrs. Nelson!

This school year I was placed at a wonderful new school, and I am excited to build an even stronger learning environment for my students next year.

My goal is to add more STEM manipulatives to our classroom to deepen engagement and hands-on learning throughout the day. These tools help students stay focused, explore concepts, and develop critical thinking skills in a fun, tangible way.

I also plan to revamp our calm down corner with flexible seating options. This space gives students access to books and sensory toys when they need a break. Comfortable, varied seating will help reduce anxiety and frustration, giving them a safe place to reset.

Finally, I’d like to add a colorful classroom rug with additional floor seating. The inviting rug creates a warm, calm gathering space where students can collaborate, read, and feel at ease. Every item will directly support student growth, well-being, and joy in learning.
