Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Pre-K students are learning, exploring, and growing in amazing ways each day. At this age, accidents, spills, messy play, and unexpected moments are a natural part of learning. In our classroom, we work hard to create an environment where children feel safe, cared for, and supported in every way.

A classroom washer, along with essential cleaning supplies, would make a meaningful difference for our students.

Having access to a washer would allow us to quickly clean classroom linens, towels, dress-up clothes, and items used during daily routines. It would also help us support students who may have toileting accidents or need a clean change of clothing during the school day—allowing us to respond with dignity, comfort, and care.

For young children, these moments matter. Being able to help a child feel clean, comfortable, and secure protects their confidence and helps them return to learning without embarrassment or disruption.

Cleaning supplies and laundry access also support a healthy classroom by helping us reduce germs and maintain a clean environment where students can thrive. When children feel safe and cared for, they are more ready to focus, participate, and learn.

Many of my students rely on school not only as a place of learning, but also as a place of support and stability. They deserve a classroom that meets both their academic and basic needs with compassion.

This project would help us provide a healthy, clean, and nurturing space where every child feels valued and cared for. Your support would have a lasting impact on our students’ comfort, dignity, and success.
