My Project

My students come to school each day ready to learn, but many of them are carrying more than just backpacks. They’re also dealing with hunger. Whether it’s due to busy mornings, long bus rides, or limited access to food at home, some students struggle to stay focused simply because they haven’t had enough to eat.

In our classroom, I see firsthand how hunger impacts learning.

Hungry students often have difficulty concentrating, participating, and staying engaged. Something as simple as a small snack can make a big difference in helping them feel comfortable, supported, and ready to learn.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
