We teach them all to promote learning for all. My school is in a high poverty area. We have very diverse students, needs, and exceptionalities. We have met standards on standardized achievement tests. How--You might ask. Well, because we love the kids, we work for the kids, and we do not give up. I speak in the plural because like they say, "It takes a village to raise a child". Well, it takes a great school with a great staff to accomplish great things. I teach first grade. I teach reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, social skills, sharing, and character education.

I currently have broken, fading, stained, and all around crumbling dry erase boards. We need new ones so that we can do more lessons with interaction and guided practice that dry erase boards provide.

My students need 32 dry erase/magnetic lapboards for class and guided reading lessons. My students really enjoy lessons that are interactive and fun. The dry erase boards I have are several years old. They are bent and the dry erase part is coming off slowly but surely. With new dry erase boards, I will be able to see their answers better, and the students will be able to have better access to them. I won't have to worry about the dry erase boards folding in half while the students are trying to complete a task with them.
