My students need various basic school supplies such as crayons, paints, scissors and glue to help them have a successful year.

One of the best things about starting school is getting your new supplies. I am a second grade teacher, and this year I will have about 20 students and I would love for them to start the year with new basic school supplies.

Many times when the year starts, there are children that are not able to bring in a new pack of crayons, or scissors simply because their family can not afford it. I would love to be able to give them the supplies that they need. Unfortunately the school is not able to give us the necessary supplies to put a smile on each child's face.

I am requesting simple basic supplies such as crayons, scissors and glue so each child can have a feel of ownership as well as having their own supplies. I would also like to give my children the opportunity to express themselves with paints and markers.

I strongly believe that with your donation, my children will certainly have a smile on their face. It will give us a chance to express ourselves through art as well as have the basic school supplies that they will need.
