My students are bright, creative, and have the special needs of "highly gifted" children. When under-challenged, these students often get "left behind," leading to depression, behavioral issues, and eventually dropping out. Teachers do our best to provide academic engagement and opportunities for students to rise to their full intellectual and creative potential. These students can write very prolifically, but often their little fingers cannot keep up with the speed of their thoughts. Luckily, young children can type much more quickly, though some do not have computers and printers at home.
