When they first saw them, they were so excited! They couldn't wait to begin creating. The glitter crayons encouraged them to experiment with color and add sparkle to their artwork, the pom-poms and googly eyes inspired them to think creatively and explore different textures. The markers allowed them to add details and express their individual ideas. These materials have brought excitement to the art center and encouraged students to use their imaginations, make independent choices, and take pride in their creations.\r\nUsing these supplies has also helped the development of their fine motor skills, creativity, and self-expression. As they draw, color and arrange materials, they practice hand-eye coordination and learn how to turn their ideas into something tangible. Moving forward, students will be using the supplies to create projects, such as colorful animals, self-portraits, and three-dimensional creations. I will also encourage them to plan their artwork, and describe their art to friends.
