I would love to give my sixth grade music students a unique music learning experience. Therefore, I am developing a music curriculum that incorporates the Ukulele. Learning a ukulele allows a student to develop important music reading skills, learn a standard knowledge of string instruments and chords. Most of all, they can share with their community their passion for music through performance. I know that not all of my students will be able to afford purchasing a ukulele. It is important to me that all of my sixth grade music students can have the same learning experience. As an music educator my main goal is to share my passion of music and the Ukulele with my students so they can take this skill and use it for the rest of their life. I see this as a great learning opportunity.
