Message from Superintendent Dr. Sharonica Hardin-Bartley
U. City's incredible teachers know their students' unique needs better than anyone. Through DonorsChoose, they can use that knowledge to help fund projects that bolster their vision for high-quality instruction in the classroom and support Learning Reimagined for the benefit of all students. We're grateful for this partnership and for the caring donors from across the globe who are helping make dreams a reality for teachers and students in The School District of University City. By partnering with DonorsChoose, we can better provide U. City teachers with resources need for creating lessons that increase students' excitement about coming to school every day.
About The School District of University City
The School District of University City in University City, Missouri dates back to 1868 and currently enrolls about 2,600 students in grades PreK through 12. The District has a vision of Learning Reimagined, a dynamic plan that strives for:
Rigorous, relevant and modern instruction, because the world is changing rapidly
Well-being and joy, because we learn and teach best when we are well
Excellent staff, supported with development opportunities, strong community resources, and feedback
All hands, to leverage local, regional and national partners
Resources, used wisely and equitably to support the vision
The District and its alumni have tremendous pride. Indeed, the District mascot is the lion. Our mantra is "Heart of a Lion," which means we learn, teach and relate to one another with the courage to be authentic, attuned and truly connected. We teach, learn, lead and relate with both the head and the heart.
Thank you for supporting The School District of University City teachers and students!
