Technology and Computer Science is a critical driver of innovation and the economy. It something that is not going away; for the past 3 years I have been persistent in asking my school to bring computer science into the curricula. Well guess what, this is our first year to offer computer science and we do so through a project called TEALS. They are learning necessary skills to be successful as students and for their future. Learning computer science has empowered our students to now consider it as a major for college and career for the first time. I am asking for a laptop for students to check out for coding and learning to encode digital images. Currently I have several students who do not have the resources to explore computer science further; by providing a laptop for students to check out, they will have the opportunity to be successful in school.
