My Project

My students are creative, collaborative, hands-on learners who love having the opportunity to show what they know in new and meaningful ways. What I love most about my students is their natural curiosity and the energy they bring when they are working together. They especially love taking big ideas, like green energy and alternative fuels, and figuring out how to make those ideas real. Recently, students used recycled materials to design and build prototypes of inventions powered by green energy. They learn best when they can design, build, test, and create instead of simply sitting and studying.

This project takes a simple Jenga game and turns it into a student-created green energy review game.

In small groups, students will design and decorate the wooden tiles, with each tile becoming a review question or challenge connected to the alternative fuel concepts we have studied this semester. As they create their games, students will have to talk through ideas, debate answers, explain their thinking, and make decisions together. They will be learning from each other while creating something they can actually use.

Your support will help us turn a traditional study guide into something much more engaging and student driven. Instead of simply reviewing notes, students will build a review tool that reflects their learning, encourages teamwork, and makes studying something they actually want to do.
