My Project

I teach fourth-grade immigrant students from various countries. My students speak lots of different languages, and our school is very diverse and multicultural.

My students need a classroom laptop for STEM and computer science activities to use online applications to learn to code and manage finances.

Wendy Kopp, founder of Teach for America, states, "Ensuring that our nation's urban and rural children have the chance to become proficient in computer science is a sure way to set them on a trajectory to great career options. We need to do this to close the digital divide and level the playing field."

I firmly believe we need to create ambitious computer programming superheroes of tomorrow who will strive to achieve in all areas of technology. I want to break the barriers and "level the playing field" by encouraging my students to pursue careers in this field. This laptop will help my students become active participants in this digital world.

Please help to welcome my students back to school year with a sparkling new Chromebook. I believe coding and teaching financial literacy will create a path for everyone.
