This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Pre-K4 students are naturally curious and eager to explore the world around them. At this young age, they learn best through hands-on experiences that allow them to touch, move, and discover. Many of my students are developing fine motor skills and early problem-solving abilities, and they thrive when given opportunities to learn through play.

I am requesting materials of magnetic mazes, an engaging and interactive way for my students to explore early science concepts.

Using magnets, students will guide small objects through simple mazes, learning how magnets can push and pull without touching. This activity introduces basic STEM concepts in a fun and age-appropriate way.

Magnetic mazes will help my students strengthen their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they carefully move objects through the paths. They will also build important thinking skills such as patience, focus, and perseverance as they try different ways to solve each maze. Working together, students will practice sharing, communication, and teamwork.

Many of my students benefit from visual and tactile learning experiences. These materials will provide meaningful opportunities for all learners, including those who may struggle with traditional instruction, to feel successful and engaged.
