Bright Minds, Great Choices: Rewarding Engagement With Interactive Play

My Project

Our classroom is a vibrant learning space full of energetic, curious students who thrive when learning is hands-on and interactive. Many of my students face challenges outside of school, making the classroom a critical place to foster security, structure, and joy.

Positive reinforcement is one of the most effective tools for building a supportive and focused classroom culture.

Students stay motivated and eager to participate when they know their hard work, kindness, and effort are recognized.

The Thermopro Plinko Game will serve as the center of our daily positive behavior incentive system. Instead of traditional reward systems, dropping a chip down the Plinko board adds an element of excitement, anticipation, and play to celebrating student achievements. Whether a student demonstrates exceptional teamwork, masters a difficult academic concept, or shows significant personal growth, they will earn a turn at the Plinko board.

The Bulk Candy and Toys will serve as the tangible rewards at the bottom of the board. The toys double as great fidget tools to help students self-regulate during independent focus time, while the individually wrapped treats offer a fun, classic reward for milestones reached.

By tying positive behavior and academic progress to clear, joyful incentives, this project will:

Boost daily attendance and active classroom participation.

Encourage self-regulation and positive peer interactions.

Help students build a strong connection between consistent effort and rewarding outcomes.
