Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students work hard every day to meet both academic and behavioral goals. One of the most effective motivators in our classroom is our classroom store. We have established an economy system to encourage student effort, reinforce positive behavior, and hold students accountable.

This economy system relies on having a classroom store stocked with student favorites, such as snacks and small incentives.

Many of my students have also requested personal earbuds to use with their devices, for the text-to-speech feature due to reading difficulties. My students are thriving with this positive reinforcement system and this project will help keep them engaged and motivated through the end of the school year.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
