Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Culinary Arts and Hospitality practicum program, my students are preparing for careers centered on creating meaningful experiences for others. This book study will allow students to connect real-world hospitality lessons with the hands-on skills they practice in our classroom every day through reading and class discussions.

Many of my students plan to enter the culinary or hospitality industry after graduation, and my goal is to use this book to offer them valuable insight into what it means to go beyond expectations in service and leadership.

So many of my students have never experienced the level of service they will need to offer, and this book study will open their eyes to industry standards.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
